My time in Dublin, Ireland was amazing and really eye-opening. I learned so much about Irish culture and noticed immense differences between Irish and Americans.
Schools/universities are a bit different, classes felt more relaxed and focused on group work and discussions, really engaging the content with students and building that relationship with peers and professors. This helped me improve my communication skills and made me feel more connected to my peers. In the States I find classes to be a lot larger and more focused on content than engagement.
This program wasn't just about a grade for me, it was about experiencing another culture than I am used to. I got to live life as something that wasn’t my normal day to day.
I came back to the States with a better understanding of different ways to learn, a deeper appreciation for other cultures and lots of great memories with people I met.
I am so grateful to have been given this opportunity to be able to travel for school, it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be able to travel for school and definitely something I will never forget.
