Apply new ideas that connect justice, community engagement, the design of things, programs, and projects as well as the arts and humanities for a more peaceful, just, and sustainable world. Learn, first-hand, from MSU partners in Costa Rica challenged by justice, sustainability and engage in special community-based design workshops during the program.

Focused on the latest innovations in sustainability and community research, students will study Spanish, train in community-engaged research practices, and collaborate with rural and indigenous communities from the cloud forests of Monteverde to the coastal mountains of Talamanca on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast.
