Qing Xia Won the 2018 OISS GLOBIE Awards

Ms. Qing Xia, the Senior Assistant Director of the Office of China Programs, won the OISS 2018 Globie Award, which honors her great dedication to the MSU community by serving international scholars and students.

Qing has been serving the MSU community for 19 years. She serves as a faculty advisor for the Chinese Students and Scholars Association(CSSA) activities and plans to enrich their lives beyond class. She also advises other student organizations as well as individual student with their academic questions and their personal issues.

Qing works with OISS to handle specific cases and tough situations crucial to the MSU campus. Being fluent in both English and Chinese, she plays a major role in helping visiting scholars and international students work through their visit and study at MSU.

Beyond students and scholars’ services, she contributes to MSU’s education exchange programs with Chinese institutions by working with various MSU colleges and faculty members in a wide variety of fields. Her contribution to the MSU community is distinguished and invaluable.
