2007 Development Grant

The Office of China Programs requested proposals for the 2007 China Program Development Grants in mid-February 2007. This competitive grant program is intended to support selected MSU faculty member’s  travel to and from China to develop new exchange and cooperative programs with potential strategic partners. Specifically, the grant recipient is required to develop and promote collaboration in the areas of teaching, research, and engagement.

We received a total of 21 proposals from different colleges and departments on campus. To ensure a fair and open competition, we formed a five-member review panel to read and rate each proposal. We found many proposals had great ideas and, if funded, would make a significant impact on our China programs on campus.

After carefully reviewing all the proposals, we selected the following six to receive 2007 China Program Development Grants:
